The Lovebox needs to be connected to a power outlet in order to work. It has no built-in battery and doesn't require batteries.
If the screen stays black when you plug the Lovebox, try to use another cable (micro-USB) and another plug. Otherwise, you can refer to our technical page or contact us if needed.
